Or because change is painful for some people. Or the time wasn't right for
Mazzeo. As we head into the next millenium, many people are more open to
innovation. The year 2000 heralds new beginnings, fresh ideas, and paradigm
shifts. Maybe even a seachange in the way human beings treat each other.

I am reminded of a Thomas Hardy poem and the line, "And the Spinner of the
Years said, 'Now.'" If my memory serves me well, Hardy was referring to the
Titanic. But the line is so beautifully soulful because it applies to many of
life's changes. As the Old Testament of the Bible says, "To everything there
is a season..."

More to the point, last evening I suggested that Yahoo! add the page about Mr.
Galper's invention to its databases. Of course, Yahoo! offers the expected
"Woodwind Instruments:Clarinets" category and I entered Mr. Galper's URL
there. But I also suggested a new category "Musical Instruments: Inventions &
Innovations."

Maybe it's time for someone to resurrect information about the Mazzeo
clarinets to share with the world.
