: The R13 I tried was just a regular R13, not a Prestige or Vintage
:etc. I've found a really good one, but it is nickel plated. I've played on
:my friend's silver plated clarinet and I like the touch. Also, my past
:previous experience with my E11 which was nickel plated revealed that the
:platings corrode too easily with my sweaty fingers. I found the nickel
:plated keys to be a bit smooth and slippery. I might consider getting a
:couple silver plated ones to try though.

Well, the "regular" R-13's are offered in silverplate via WW/BW. Ask your
music shop to get some in for you to try.

Also, what year is your E-11. I'm a recent Buffet convert, and find it
strange that an E-11 is in nickelplate. Since the E series is made in
Germany, they are all silverplated now as a standard and only option. Were
they nickelplate in the past? and if so, how long ago?
