Hi all. I'm playing Michael Dougherty's Dead Elvis on Eb.
I don't play much Eb. The part goes up to a high (4 ledger line)
G# and A, and I can't figure out fingerings that would work.
Any hints? Ideas to try?

I've read the other recent Eb messages with interest, but I have no
luck with "obvious" modifications of Bb/A fingerings for these
notes, using Van Doren 3 1/2 Eb reeds or cut-off Bb Zonda 3 1/2 as
someone suggested. The only luck I've had so far is RX|X00 X00 and
assorted side keys (like A and G#, Bb side), complemented by prayer.

[There is an alternate Bb-instead-of-Eb part to the piece, but
playing up to super-high D and spending a lot of time in high B and
C range, in unison with a violin, seems even less promising.
Besides, I'm using Eb anyway for Varese's Octandre on the same
concert.]

Thanks, Martin
