"The cane for Grand Concert Select clarinet reeds come primarily from our
cane plantations in France. In some extreme cases, choice cane is taken
from our second plantation in Argentina. In either case, this supreme cane
is judged on several parameters, namely, density, cane wall thickness,
symmetry, and maturation. All of these critical review steps are done at
various the plantation sites before the cane is processed and shipped to the
U.S."

The above was sent to me by one of the heads of the Grand Concert Reed. I'm
dispelling the myth about the cane being US grown. Those are the facts.
