Oh, I love Valdres!

I believe there are at least three editions of this march floating around,
with one of them very watered down (perhaps for middle school bands?) with no
clarinet obligato part, and another with the clarinet obligato somewhat
simplified - less mordants and grace notes. The third edition I've seen is
the real deal: mordants on just about every long note and all kinds of great
impossible embellishments. However, working them all out is a fun challange
and it sounds great! (A fellow band member had to ask me for a copy of my
part because his junior high kids who had gone to the concert just *had* to
see it, he said.)
