:I have read over the debate between Mitchelle Luries and Vandorens for Bb
:soprano clarinets. But what about Bass Clarinets? I use Vandorens because
:the only brands i was told were descent are ML's and Vandorens. But
obviously
:i cannot use ML's. Any Bass players out there that can give me their
imput?

I know you've probably heard this before, but don't limit yourself to Bass
Clarinet reeds. I have been using Tenor Sax reeds for the last 3 years
(doesn't seem like a long time, but I'm in high school, and have only played
BC for 4 years). Vandoren Regulars fro T.Sax and V-16's for T.Sax work well
for me. Also, if you want a good synthetic, the Hartman Fiberreed (not
Fibercell) T.Sax Medium/Medium Hard is very good.

Of course, make your own call, but I would try T.Sax reeds simply because
most companies make them the same, or just make the T.Sax ones because the
demand is there. Plus, you can try a larger variety of reeds if you go
T.Sax. There really isn't much, if any, difference, until you start buying
from saxophone exclusive reed makers. (Though I'm not sure, mostly because
I've never tried them, E. Rousseau is an example of a sax exclusive, so they
may not be your best bet.)
