In response to your question about the size of Eb reeds - I just measured a
single Vandoran 3 1/2 Eb reed with vernier calipers. The results follow
(in cm):

Overall length - 5.925
Length of "'bark' on" portion - 2.815
Width at heel - 1.035
Width at tip - 1.210
