Hi all,
A friend who just bought a low C prestige Bass asked if other
owners of these instruments have the same tuning problems he has:
The throat tones are quite flat - especially the A and F (first
and second space on a staff, respectively). I told him that I suspect that
either there is
a problem with the neck piece or even that there are a couple of tone
holes that are miscut by a few thousanths. That was the case with my
Leblanc Low C instrument. After getting two holes re-cut it tunes MUCH
better.
Any takers for this one? How about Mr. Kloc (hope I got your name
right!) at Buffet. Are you lurking out there?
