Two suggestions:

1.) Pro Musica Nova: Studies for Playing Avant-Garde Music, by Beate
Zelinsky and David Smeyers. pub Breitkopf, EB 8589. This book is written
by two advocates of avant-garde clarinet music, with extensive excerpts
of music by 11 composers, and commentary in both German and English.
Excellent book, and should be readily available.

2.)"The Clarinet of the 21st Century" and "The Bass Clarinet of the 21st
Century", both by E. Michael Richards (1995). Available direct from the
author:

E & K Publishers
89 Dewey Avenue
Fairport NY 14450 (USA)

$15.95 and $24.95 (US) respectively, plus $8 overseas shipping. Both
encyclopedic, and very good.
