Yep, Jack, I think you're right; I played it with my high school band
back in the Dark Ages. It's also been arranged in such a way that the
second (I think) section with the "fast" notes in a slow tempo can be
eliminated. (My high school band was no great shakes and I had more
difficulty trying to play together with them than with playing the piece
itself!) I never did find an orchestratal version, though....
