Subject: Mitchell Lurie reeds
Can anyone out there tell me what's the difference between Mitchell Lurie
regular reeds and ML "Premium" reeds? (other than $$$) Are the "Premium" type
that much better to warrant the higher cost?
Thanks!

The Premium reeds are "french" cut (the bark is scored), and if memory
serves correct, use a higher grade of cane. If you are already thinking of
upgrading quality, try the Grand Concert reeds. Made by the same company,
but use a higher grade of cane, and are cut better. I use the thick blank.
Grand Concert reeds run quite a bit harder then the M.L.'s if you play #3-3
1/2 M.L., try 2 1/2 G.C.
