In response to GrabnerWG's question about a definitive performance: I ask the
question is there such a thing as a "definitive" performance? there are many
fine recordings available, including ones by Charles Neidich, Walter Boeykens,
Karl Leister, Thea King, Sabine Meyer, Paul Meyer, Emma Johnson, Benny Goodman,
etc., etc., etc.

As there is not any single performance that is definitive, I would suggest going
to a library (public or university), and listening to as many different
recordings as possible.
