How do I go about cleaning up a well used resonite clarinet? I picked
up an old one to use as a backup horn (I'm just beginning to play). It
sounds okay to me and the pads & cork appear to be alright as far as I
can figure out - at least for my current level of playing.

Is it safe to scrub out the bore with soap & water?

Can I use any old silver polish to clean up the metal? If so, should I
use cloths, cotton swabs, an old toothbrush, etc?

Is there anything else I haven't thought of?

Thanks for any suggestions.
