I am so grateful that Jim Sclater has kept us updated on Dan's
condition. We all wish that he will have a speedy and complete
recovery. I ask Jim if he is aware of any injury to Dan's face,
mouth, or teeth so that when he is fully recovered he will be
able to continue to play?

I am reminded that a number of years ago Stanley Drucker was
in an auto accident on Long Island and was taken to a hospital
by ambulance, unconscious. Fortunately, Stanley's wife was
contacted swiftly and withheld her approval for facial surgery
on her husband. She swiftly obtained the services of a
maxillary surgeon who was able to bypass some of the more
extreme procedures that the hospital had originally intended
to implement. Due to Naomi's intelligent and swift action,
we have all been able to benefit from many continued years of
magnificent playing from Stanley.

Let us all hope that Dan Spitzer is equally fortunate.
