I disagree. A CD-ROM burner goes for ~200-300 these days and is becoming a
standard item in a lot of PCs. It is the most cost effective solution for
archiving materials. A CD burner is no more excessive than a floppy drive.
I think a CD ROM copy of the klarinet archives would be useful.

I also think Mark spends an enormous amount of donated time keepy sneezy
alive - more than most of us realize. He's providing a great resource and
giving services worth a substantial amount of money for which he has asked
for nothing for himself. I don't see anything the least bit inappropriate
in his suggestion that he buy a CD burner. In fact I think he is being
incredibly scrupulous in giving exact details on how the money is spent and
asking for input. That is far more than you'll get from most formal
charitable organizations from which many individuals do, in fact, profit.
