Which one of Mahler's symphonies has a really neat clarinet solo in the
final movement? The solo passage, as I recall, was somewhat frenetic.
I also remember that a large portion of the solo was in the altissimo
range, making the solo sound shrill. Actually, I remember hearing the
same solo repeated by the clarinet, the flute, and possible the oboe. I
heard it on the radio, but, unfortunately, I wasn't paying a lot of
attention at the time. Now I just can't remember the name of the work.
