The New York Public Research Library and my Baker's make no mention of a
J.Tausch. Baker's mentions that Franz Wilhelm Tausch (1762-1817) studied
with his father, who was a member of the Mannheim Court Orchestra;
joined that orchestra when he was 8(!), and then went on to the Munich
Court Orchestra. He started a school for wind players there; 2 of the
students were Heinrich Baerman and Bernhard Crusell.
