Certainly the one at Columbus played more like an R-13 than an Opus.

I also played a couple of Selmer Signature horns at Columbus and thought
they were good, but not to my taste -- akin to the Recital model. I really
dislike the weight and large diameter of the Recital, and the Selmer sound
is not my ideal, so I'm not a neutral judge. Nevertheless, they seemed to
be very well made, and, as I recall, Tom Ridenour said he liked them.>>>

The bore of the Infinite is supposed to be the same as the Opus/Concerto,
with the huge change of moving the register key towards the bell. This puts
it approximately in the same position as the R-13, and is what gives us the
wide intervals on the 12ths. If you move the register key up--like the
Opus/Concerto and the Buffet Festival--the 12ths narrow down, and the upper
clarion is not quite so sharp.

On the Selmer web page, Tom Ridenour waxes poetic: see
http://selmer.com/htdox/ridenour.htm. Apparently, he's no longer working
for Leblanc, but instead is an endorser of the Signature.

Has anyone else tried this horn?
