Check with theorists who have done transcriptions: Cynthia Folio of
Temple University has done some very interesting work with Dolphy's solos,
although I don't know if she's gotten into bass clarinet transcriptions;
Steven Block of University of New Mexico has published a couple of
excellent articles on free jazz and might have some leads. Henry Martin,
formerly of Mannes and now at Rutgers, and Steve Larson of University of
Oregon are good "clearinghouses" and seem to know where these sorts of
things might be found.
