Hi there!
I have a question with regards to a bass clar. part I've been just given
today:
It's the Poulenc Gloria for soprano solo, choir and orchestra. The part is
in the bass clef (ok dokies), but the part just says "clarinette basse";
it doesn't mention that it's a Bb part. I was just given the part, so I
haven't had a chance to check with the score yet, but I was wondering if it
was a transposed part? Has anyone played this piece recently and can
answer my question without having to search too hard? The key of my part
seems to be C+/a- for the 1st mvt. Does anyone know the key of the piece
off the top of their heads?
I would appreciate it, as I won't be back at school until next Wed. evening
and I would like to start working on it soon. I live in Windsor and school
is in Detroit--I would have to cross the border and complete an hour-long
drive (one way) just to check the score :(
Any tips would be quite welcome!
thanks in advance
Line Ringuette
