Oddly enough i still have a copy of Netscape 3.0 on my machine although
I upgraded long ago to 4.0.....hmm oh well I guess the trash will be
full tonight.

In any case, copy what you want as a quote, then in the Edit menu use
"Paste as Quote" or command-option-U.

Ha it WAS obvious, but don't worry I just figured that out about a week
ago. ;-)
