You might be pleasantly surprised. I recently restored a silver plated
Cavalier and it was truly a nice instrument. Mine had an integrated barrel
(which is to say no "tuning" barrel) and it played a tad sharp overall. But a
30-cent O ring from the hardware store solved that problem. The instrument, by
the way, had a very nice tone. I suspect you will pleased with your clarinet
when you are finished with it.
