You need to make sure you are comparing comparable models. For example you
say you tried an R-13 and an Opus. These two horns should _NOT_ be
compared to each other they are not at all in the same class. The R-13 is a
"standard grade" pro horn while the Opus is a "premium grade" pro horn. The
R-13 should be compared to something like the Leblanc Infinity. While the
Opus is more comparable the Buffet Prestige. I am not familiar with the
Yamaha and Selmer lines but the same advice applies. Make sure you are
comparing horns on the same level before you select a brand and model. Even
I can't afford an Opus (or a Festival). Don't compare "premium" horns to
"standard" horns.
