If you are looking for a reasonably priced C clarinet mouthpiece, contact
Jerry Hall at (205) 252-3276. He's currently making a C clarinet mouthpiece
for my R13 C clarinet. Among Bb mouthpieces that I have tried, an old plastic
Noblet works best for me. It is about 88 mm in length, a mm shorter than the
no-name wood mouthpiece that I use with my R13 Bb clarinet. Thanks to the
shorter size of the mouthpiece, I am able to play my C clarinet well in tune
with a flautist in a duo setting.
