Cork pads require skill and experience to put on correctly. (So does brain
surgery). Leave it to the trained professionals.

I have had cork pads on the upper joint of my Bb since it was overhauled in
1979. The same ones, used daily. Perfect airtight seal then, and today. I
suppose I could be happier only if they played the right notes, too . . .
