Hi everyone,

Its been a long time since I've been subscribed to the list, and I'm looking
forward to reading it again.

I've got a question for the group - probably a long-shot, but we'll see. The
Johns Hopkins Band (of which I am a member and officer) has a clarinet choir
this year. The music we are playing calls for a Bb Contrabass clarinet, and
we don't have one. We've been doubling it on the bass so far, but we'd really
love to perform it later in the year using a real contra. Unfortunately,
our budget doesn't allow us to go buy one. I'm wondering if there is anyone
out there (hopefully in the Baltimore, MD area) who has a contra bass clarinet
that we could either rent or borrow. We wont be performing until the spring,
so at a minimum we'd need to have it for a month or two (march to may), but
we'd really like to use it all year. I have no idea what the going rental
rate would be. If you have one, even if its not in great condition (we have a
repair budget) that you'd consider lending or renting, please contact me.
