I believe that the discussion regarding 2341 has little to do with the
Upbeat Baermann Scale book.

There is no discussion in the book about phrasing, accents or anything
like that.

It is just the Baermann scale book set out in a different fashion from
the existing books.

The scales and chords are in Eighths ( Alla Breve, if one wishes).
replete with many high note fingerings under the notes each time.

They all start off the beat.

David Blumberg was kind enough to write a preface and he wrote what he
saw regarding the 2341 phrasing.

The book is NOT a treatise on phrasing or anything similar.
