Putting anything in the mouth when you're hungry can set off the lizard
brain's "Whoopee, food!" response. Similarly, practicing shortly after a meal
can make the lizard brain go, "Yippee, MORE FOOD!" See if it helps to tell
your student to separate hunger or food and clarinet by at least half an hour.
