For trills, one trick I learned from an Hungarian clarinettist called Hernadi
who, in turn, learned it from the Hungarian gypsies is to let your finger
wander around on the key as it trills. Obviously, this only works for trills
using keys. It also works more easily on German system than on Boehm system
(both of which Hernadi played equally well!) as the keys tend to be wider.
