HI,

I had surgery for my carpal tunnel problems. I had both hands done at the
same time so I would not be inconvenienced for as long as if I had them done
consecutively. I have a half inch scar in the wrinkle between each wrist
and hand. My hands were in a soft cast for three days following surgery and
I was back to work in five days. It was three weeks before I began to play
again with the assist of a neck strap. After five weeks I was on my own
again. I did not require any physical therapy and have not had any trouble.
My surgeon was a hand specialist and has worked extensively with musicians,
which helped greatly. Check out your closest university hospital and they
should be able to refer you to someone who can help in a more constructive
way. Good luck.

Nancy
