Subj: [kl] Throat Pressure on the break
Date: Thu, 8 Oct 1998 10:15:48 -0400

Hi folks,
I'll guess this has been covered before and if it has please mail
me privately so as not to clutter the list.
When going up the instrument just over the break I (almost) always
feel pressure in my throat (in the vault above the trachea in the back of
my mouth). I'm not sure if it's a constant thing and I just don't notice
all of the time or if it's intermittent due to position of the horn or
approach to the note. I was wondering if anyone else has had this
experience and what the cause was (or causes were). I know there's a lot
of resistance in this register and I'm wondering what the various methods
of relief were. Any advice welcome. Thanks!

Jamileh
