Good lord! What an incredible story Dan recounted...reminds me of a
Sherlock Holmes episode on TV where the genteel villain, having been found
out by the sleuth, is simply left in the hands of his private club
colleagues, who to protect the club's image, make his "exit" choices
abundantly clear. Terrible situation.
