I believe that Mendelssohn may have called himself a protestant, etc... but
usually those of Jewish descent who accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah are
called Messianic Jews. All of my references to Mendelssohn as a Jew were
becasue of his Jewish descent. Those of us who are "gentiles" and who then
convert to Judaism are no more Jewish than anyone else. I had the
understanding that it was not really the religion of the Jews that was hated,
but more the race of Jews. (by the way, that paragraph may have alluded to me
being Jewish, but I am a Christian. However, My last name is Morgenroth,
which is a German Jewish name. )
