As I understood it, Rico, for the Grand Concert series, will set up a
machine to cut, produce a limited number, test those, and then produce a
larger number of reeds from the machine.

They also have stopped using quarter strengths which is somewhat
unfortunate for my own selfish interests since it seems I'd play
optimally with a 3 3/4 reed. Oh well being lazy will not make me play
well, I'd better pull out the knife and reed rush.

One of these days (after paying for college and a new set of clarinets,
and a tour of Europe), I will have to visit a reed factory since it does
seem kind of interesting, in a weird clarinetist viewpoint, I guess.
