There was never any concern regarding your statement above (except by a
few who just plain hate the idea of marching band). This main issue
facing this list has been the marching band in the public schools and how
it is often used as the basis for having a band program.....NOT about DCI
and its separate sport.

Music is an aural event. If you want to add the other things - great!
But music is not visual - even though the visual element can be a great
enhancer of the music event.
