i dont think anyone is trying to marching band above concert ....just
realize that there are some programs where becuz the director(s) are
stronger teachers in a marching forum.......you can still learn very
musically and with depth.....

marching bands can play the most complex pieces and have a wind program
that sounds like @-----.

also drum corps can play very softly..........

this summer i saw the blue devils and they did an on stage
performance....it literally sounded like a huge orchestral
organ..........the balance was that good......
