:own experience. Typically, since there's a greater variety of reeds
:available for tenor sax, I buy those for use on my bass clarinet.

And... go figure on this one, Tenor Sax reeds can be cheaper, sometimes a
lot, other times not too much.

But I suppose the extra dollars we spend on the "Bass Clarinet" reeds can be
justified for the comfort of playing on a genuinely labeled Bass clarinet
reed and the lovely silhouette of a Bass Clarinet on the box... After all,
Bass Clarinets are simply the best, and we deserve the be ourselves. <g>

But seriously again, there is no real reason that BC and TS reeds should be
any different physically, if you buy a major brand like Rico or Vandoren,
since both are the same. But, if you buy genuinely Tenor Sax reeds, you are
sure to the point that there is no way they could be bass clarinet reeds,
then, you may experience a difference in playing. (But, you'll be hard
pressed to find such a reed from the big guys)
