Jacque, some of us old figs are way past the age where we can memorize a lot
of music. I am thinking especially of a community band I used to belong to. We
would play dozens of marches and other selections for a single gig. I was in
my mid-40s at the time and was probably the second YOUNGEST member of the
band. Lyres were standard equipment. I confess that our "formation" wasn't the
best, though ;-)
