There is special lingo involved in so far as setting up server
preferences, network preferences (Efnet, Dalnet, or Undernet), identd
verification and so forth. Java consoles eliminate the need for
special software, knowledge of advanced functions which elude most
general users and provide a comfortable environment with real-time chat
capabilities and nice GUIs to make it all simple and understandable.
