I looked into using sneezy as an IRC and for a Java chat. 2 things
immediately pop up:

1) IRC ends up being anarchy very quickly & side discussions end up
dragging people off. Not to mention the predators lurking about ... The
management aspects mean that I will never have Sneezy as an IRC relay
site. Anyone can create & advertise a channel on the main servers,
though - Sneezy just won't be one of them.

2) When Java gets to more people, I'll probably set up a limited channel
Java chat system. However, that's probably a year or so away (the number
of people running Netscape 3.0 or IE 3.0 is amazing! Neither of those
support Java 1.1, never mind 1.2!) I _do_ have to monitor the system,
though, to keep out unwanted discourse. I monitor activities daily as it
is ...

What I probably will do is set up a vt100 based chat system, on the
assumption that just about everyone on the Internet can come up with a
reasonable vt100 emulator. Sneezy (the new one) will be able to handle
100's of simultaneous connections; the current system starts bogging at
10 or 15.
