Believe it or not, but not all the list users use Windows. I am using a Compaq
right now but my computer of preference is a Mac, and unfortunately there isn't a
free IRC program that is as easy or compact as MIRC available for Mac OS, althought
I have used some nice ones that come close.
Plus not everyone might want to download a whole IRC client just for a clarinet chat
group, so I think it would be better if it was accessible from a browser so that
everyone can use it whether or not they have a client. Maybe Mr. Charette will look
into a java console that acts in place of an IRC client, like the MSNBC chat
auditorium, and I'm sure that a donation to the pledge drive might help him look
around (eh? eh?). I agree that maybe a Klarinet room on IRC would be cool, though,
but should not be totally limited to that.
