I would like to give a hearty agreement to this statement. As I have begun lessons again, at the age
of 46, I have learned that air support is the greatest aid to a good sound. Most difficulties that I have
had with hard intervals can be attributed to poor air support. As I have learned more about air support many
of the difficult intervals have become much easier. Poor air support can also lead to embouchure problems.
Often, when there is not enough support, the tendency is to compensate by putting to much pressure on the reed.
What you end up doing, is fighting the Clarinet and getting frustrated. IMHO
