Subj: [kl] Playing in the rain

There is one thing that I haven't seem mentioned about playing in the rain.
It is that when you are done, take your instrument apart, but don't leave it
in the case. This summer during my band camp, we had to practice our show
in the rain. My hs director just told us to leave our instruments out of
the case so that the pads would dry better, and I never had a problem with
pads and neither did anyone else that I remeber. Anyone know if I was just
lucky, or does it really work?
