One other possibility. Be sure the key which is under the touch area of
the throat A key is sealing properly when only the thumb key is being
played.

I had a problem with this on my alto clarinet and it drove me crazy until I
figured out what it was. The only note that was effected was high C because
the first finger left hand ring kept this key properly closed the rest of
the time.
