Subj: [kl] E-11 A Clarinet Register Tube Grunting problem
Date: Sat, 26 Sep 1998 01:26:24 -0400

One of my students got a Buffet E-11 A Clarinet for her to play in Youth
Orchestra. We are getting a grunting sound from top space G to C. I know
that it is the register tube that is the problem (I had that problem with
my Prestige A, and Mark Jacobi replaced the register vent - end of
problem). My question is - does that happen to a lot of the E-11 A's, or
did she get a bad one? We can still send it back to Woodwind - Brasswind,
but I don't want her to end up with the same problem. I would out Abe
Galper's register tube in it, but it is for the Bb Clarinets.

Ideas? (Mr. Kloc?)
