Francois is actually in Montreal at the moment. He just finished two
days of personal adjustments at two woodwind shops. I spent an hour and
a half with him. It was great. Boy is he knowledgeable!

He did not actually tell me that two different joints would not work
but did say that the acoustics are different (the second Bb register
key is an allowance for the problems caused to the throat Bb by these
different acoustics).
