I did not mean to suggest that, just because they are made in Taiwan, they
are inferior. L.A. Saxes are assembled here of Taiwanese parts, and their
Barrington line is made entirely there. The Barrington sopranos are one of
the best price/quality deals in the business. My own (Taiwanese) E.M.
Winston soprano, bought to be a toy anyway, is entirely satisfactory for
the limited purposes it serves (the occasional pit orchestra, etc.). Now
if only the CHINESE could learn how to do it...
