Jacqueline,

Regarding the tight C clarinet barrel, I wholeheartedly endorse Kevin Fay's
"go slow" approach with 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper. As you know, I have one
of that same batch of Noblet C clarinets that you have, and experienced the
same mpc sticking problem after a performance of Marriage of Figaro. I spent
about 2 hours CAREFULLY sanding the ID of the top socket of the Noblet barrel.
It probably doesn't make a lot of difference, but I sanded it WET and then
rinsed and dried the barrel before checking the fit with a very well-greased
mouthpiece. Probably went thru the wet sand/rinse/dry/test sequence 10 times
before I was finished.
