Yo, Lisa! Once again...I'll sell you my Center Tone for $3,000, cash or
certified check:-):-). Actually, no joke, I have heard the CT is MUCH
favored among precisely the kind of clarinetists you describe, Dixieland
and old-time jazz players, because of the .587 bore. If you stick
something like a Vandoren 5JB mouthpiece with a 1.5 or 2 reed on the
sucker, you can blow out your windows. The amount of volume that horn
produces with that setup is scary.
