Hi all-I'm new to your list and quietly observe and hopefully learn something!
I haven't been able to find your list of info about older clarinets. A few
years ago my ex husband broke into my house and SMASHED my Selmer 10S. Looked
like a canoe, and I was finding grenadilla chips in the bathroom for weeks.
(They could never prove it, but what goes around comes around...). Anyway, I
bought a used horn that turned out to be a 1958 Selmer Centered Tone. The
sales guy had it hiding in the back and tried to sell me a couple of old Conns
that didn't play in tune, but when I walked out because there was nothing
suitable, he followed me to the parking lot and told me about this horn. The
intonation is even better than my onld horn, whic is now unfortunately
reincarnated as a lamp.
